OUR STORY
The Oyster Dude first came to life in 2019 when Robert met his future wife Lauren who worked at a wine bar that frequently held wine and oyster pairings. Lauren shared her love of oysters with Robert, an Angelino who had an affinity for all things aquatic.
Robert grew up surfing, swimming, and playing waterpolo, which he played abroad professionally in various port towns of Spain and Brazil. Living by the water, Robert developed a respect for ocean conservation and sustainably farmed seafood. Once introduced to the world of oysters and learned of their positive environmental impact, he was hooked. He apprenticed as an oyster shucker for several years before starting The Oyster Dude. Robert and Lauren believe in the importance of offering high-quality and sustainably sourced oysters and are committed to making your next event the most memorable yet!
